This rare 1972 Rover 3500 S, V8 engine, manual transmission, is now available for sale.
The Rover 3500 S – part of the Rover P6 series – with manual gear box – were very limited in numbers and introduced quite late in the 3500 life-span.
These P6 Rovers were revolutionary in design – with a body shell built as a skeleton on which external panels were fitted – rather like the Citroen DS at the time. This made the shell very strong and repairs easy.
Originally fitted with an old fashioned 2L engine, the P6 was later available with a 3.5L V8 engine – designed by Buick – that Rover acquired subsequently.
Mainly available equipped with auto transmission, manual gear boxes were introduced following popular demand – particularly from Police forces!
This model is in very good condition inside and out with a genuine 62K miles from new. It has been looked after throughout its life with only 2 previous owners.
It comes with the original handbook pack including passport to service with service entry’s and paper receipts and 18 old MOTs
