The Lotus Esprit was introduced in 1976. The new Lotus wore sharp wedge styling courtesy of Giorgetto Giugiaro, and looked just like the stunning 1972 concept car. Engineers mounted the 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine mid-ship, and coupled it to a 5-speed transmission.
The S2 of 1978 brought with it evolutionary changes such as intake and cooling ducts added behind the rear quarter windows, taillights from the Rover SD1 and an integrated front spoiler.
This model is a very original S2 that was dry stored for many years, explaining the low mileage. We have spent the last few months recommissioning this car and will be detailing all the work done.
